"memory" is not a name anyone gave to her exactly ─ it comes from some mocking comments the town people made towards her, but she had little else to identify herself with at the time. she worked as a butcher to contribute the community and lived with an old woman. they did not get along. she stole her last name from an adventurer who saved memory's life when she ditched for ul'dah.she found herself being labelled as an adventurer via a few misunderstandings, but she quickly found that she excelled in the pugilist guild (and most importantly, that she liked excelling in things). memory was eager to try her hand at as many professions as she could get teachers for, eventually throwing herself fully into the teachings of alberic, becoming the second azure dragoon.

memory's priority when leaving home was just getting Out. she had no destination in mind — just 'anywhere would be better than here'. she took nearly nothing with her, and left nothing behind other than some relieved townspeople.while hitchhiking in whichever direction she landed, she met an adventurer called aquila who saved memory and her fellow passengers from a bandit attack. aquila was a fellow miqo'te, a one eyed warrior in her late 30s, and the coolest person memory had ever met in her very short life.that same carriage brought memory to ul'dah, where she jumped at the chance to claim to be an adventurer herself. momodi assumed memory was a pugilist — after all she had no weapons on her — and she had a natural flexibility and an unnatural ability to precisely control her body and reflexes that caused her to be declared a person with skill who obviously had previous training.
training and being in a guild was the first time memory experienced positive feedback. she would get a task, complete it, then be rewarded and praised for it. she was talented and hard working, and desperate to prove herself.memory and thancred had an instant surface level rapport when they met, and she went along with it easily when thancred saw about recruiting her for the scions. she had an amicable if lukewarm relationship with those she was introduced to. minfilia, isolated and burdened due to her position, saw a kindred soul in memory and made several efforts to connect with memory on a more genuine level; however memory rebuffed all attempts through sheer obliviousness. memory had very little awareness of social bonds and lacked any desire to cultivate any herself, being quite happy to show up for when she was physically needed and then immediately take her leave.it took a few primal-killings for memory to look around her and take note of the new way she was being treated for it. memory did not think of herself as doing anything special. she was making no real decisions of her own, just placing herself in the hands of others and acting as their weapon. being so admired did draw her in on a personal level more than before at least — especially once people started calling her 'the warrior of light'. being basically famous and well renown for her fighting ability was just a concentrated form of social approval, which memory was chasing after in cheaper, more fleeting forms. still, while this quickly became a path she wanted to take in life, she did not become her own master and remained pushed by others; liking the limelight but not feeling any responsibility towards her role or personal investment into the current events.the slaughter in the waking sands affected memory very little. the apparent betrayal of thancred and reveal of his possession drew no concern from her for anyone involved. the primal summonings, the ascians, the garleans; it was all maybe mildly interesting to memory at most. to others this did not come across as uncaring and was instead seen as memory for the most part being someone with a singular focus who was not very bright.memory was happy to take the fight to gaius, though she didn't hold any moral or ideological stance for doing so. she admires his ability to believe wholeheartedly in his vision and appreciates his drama, but basically thinks hes cringe and can't take him seriously. the battle between the ultima weapon and later lahabrea is the first time memory communicates with hydaelyn in any way, which is a weird moment for her since she assumed hydaelyn was made up.following the victorious battle and moving into the making of the crystal braves — memory and alphinaud work quite close together at this point, which is a new experience for memory who had up to this point been working nearly completely solo. alphinaud was confident with taking charge and had a strong vision not only for the crystal braves but also how best to utilize memory as the warrior of light. on the surface they worked together well as commander and officer, but they both had a complete and utter disdain of each other as people. memory thought of alphinaud as childish, obnoxious, and naive, while alphinaud looked down on memory and did not believe in her capabilities in any other area than combat — and even then, that she needed proper direction to make the most out of herself. despite her doubts and inward scathing commentary of alphinaud's leadership skills, she followed his orders and did what he asked.in the middle of all this was the ironworks and g'raha tia. the investigation into the crystal tower functioned as a way to briefly escape the drama of the crystal braves and ul'dah and 'whatever all else'. compared to the new formality and regulations that she found stifling with the scions, trying to figure out the secrets of a great old tower was just plain fun. the technological aspect and allagan history and so on went over memory's head for the most part as she was more focused on having a good time with everyone in NOAH than the actual discoveries. she bonded a lot with cid and nero during this, and especially bonded strongly with g'raha tia with them spending most their time glued to each others sides and having many long conversations into the night. still, she was able to brush away him being sealed into the crystal tower easily, mostly through denial as she fully expected him to make another appearance shortly.this was also helped by the distraction of haurchefant, who memory got on with extremely well. memory looked forward to every interaction with haurchefant and they perfectly matched each others enthusiasm for each other. he was the first person she was properly affectionate towards, and how open and cheerful he was definitely had a huge influence in how memory was able to express her affection towards people going forward.meanwhile, she was much less checked-in with the scions and the political landscape in general. meeting and fighting ysayle was more interesting, but that wasn't saying much. the vague appearances made by elidibus ever since she struck lahabrea down was also not something memory thought of as being that interesting. compared to the rest of the scions who were rightly wary, memory took his words at face value and did not really understand why everyone was so hostile towards him. though she did take minfilia's capture by nabriales extremely personally. the death of moenbryda had a strange impact on memory — she struggled with witnessing how devastating it was to the scions, confused by their reactions and how impacted memory was personally, even if she was not capable of comprehending any feeling of grief at the time. it left her disjointed and uncomfortably aware of how lacking her understanding was in most things that others had some innate grasp of.while her previous feelings towards the scions (and alphinaud and the crystal braves) remained the same, memory did not hold the same confidence as before. she unconsciously aligned herself more with the scions and regarded them as her allies much more strongly, though for the most part this was not a change that was noticed. she valued her place among them and very much wanted to keep it. it was during this slow budding change in memory that the ul'dan celebratory feast began to take place.

mch (bsm/arm)he used to be close to his family when he was younger - but now he can't stand them. has a lot of resentment towards his mom because she doesn't value anything other than fighting, which he isn't very good at and doesn't enjoy. despite being a one in a million talent with crafting, he has a complex about it because memory treats it as a hobby that she's critical of him for rather than his life's work. all of his parents were away often, especially when he was a teenager, because they had more important things to do (saving the star).the bulk of his resentment is aimed at memory, but he doesn't think much of g'raha either. he doesn't think g'raha is very strong and he hates that his dad always excuses everything memory does, and is never on dirge's side for anything. he gets along better with singer (views him more of an uncle/adult family figure than a father) but they aren't especially close emotionally. he and liadain don't get along and they complain about each other constantly, but they're still pretty close.

pct (?)a daddy's girl. she's a bit spoilt in some ways - unlike memory who tries very hard to make people think well of her, liadain just expects people to like her without effort on her part. she's quiet and reserved so people usually think of her as a shy and sweet girl, but her personality is kinda bad. she's very dismissive towards others and likes winding people up, especially if they can't tell if she's insulting them or not.
